First week at home

Josie slept a lot, still recovering from her jaundice (on top of being a good sleeper to begin with). The cousins came over to visit and are pretty thrilled to have a new baby in the family.
While she slept a lot, I did not--it was hard to be asleep when she might be making really cute noises and knowing that she would not be so tiny ever again. After her birthweight of 8 lbs 13 oz, she went down to 8 lbs 1 oz on day three and by day five, was back up to 8 lbs 11 oz
We spend a lot of time taking pictures of her while she sleeps and smiles her milky smiles on our laps.

Josie is Here!

Josie Anne arrived at 4:26pm on December 18th after 48 hours of labor and 21 minutes of pushing. I really love the pictures of her little feet together because, now that I see them out here, I understand how she was kicking me inside with her knees as she kept both of her feet together. These are all pictures from our hospital stay.

Christmas Tree hunting

We also went "up in the mountains" to procure Christmas trees with Grandma and Grandpa over the weekend.

40 Weeks 1 day

We took advantage of a beautiful day in Denver on Sunday to take a nice "come out baby" hike. No such luck. Nonetheless, it was a very nice day for a hike--a little cool back in the canyons, but downright summerlike out in the sunshine.

All we need is a baby!

Baby Project One

For several months we have been building a dresser/changing table for the baby's room, and it is finally getting ready to move in.
Betty did most of the work, I mostly consulted on the project as needed.
Here it is, as viewed from the nursing chair in the baby room. We are still looking for the perfect baskets for the top row of shelves.

Hello New Car & 39 weeks

We thought to kill two birds with one stone by taking pictures of both me and the car! In terms of how big I am getting, it all depends on the angle and the extent to which I am trying to arch my back!

(I don't think this is a great picture of me, but soemtimes I really do look pregnant enough to have a baby any day)
