"All da by da self, Mama!

Josie can do a lot of things for herself now! And she lets us know when not to interfere pretty clearly!

Here she is actually saying, "are you going to make me stop climbing on this? I didn't think so!"

Get into chairs on hew own.

Shuck her own corn that she has picked in the garden.

Eat her smoothie with a spoon.

Do whatever Lilly is doing!

Dig with Josie's shovel and help Mommy.

Apparently she is planning to go fishing with Grandpa (that is what she said when she picked up this broken fishing pole the other day!)

Push with her foot on the scooter and keep her balance all the way down the driveway!

Help to water the grass.

Put out the trash cans! Hooray!

Climb into the car, also Hooray for Mama's back!

August 5th in the Garden, Josie loves corn!

Josie checking for a ripe ear of corn (and wearing a Grandpa shirt)

Testing it out...

Thinkin' about it...

Yep, its pretty good!

Tomato jungle from the corn end of the garden.

Walking over to Amy's yard...

and back to our yard--the watered area around the garden sure looks like an oasis!

More fun with Lilly

Trying out a tomato in Grandma's garden

Asking Grandpa to find some more razzerberries

Following Grandpa wherever he goes!

Checking out the excavator.  Josie declined to take a ride, but Lilly stayed on for a short one!

Fun with Lilly at Gamma and Bampa's house

The best part of the trip, possibly for both girls, might just be playing with each other!

Going out to the garden to find "razzerberries"

Working in their playhouse.

Working in their sandbox.

Getting ready for bed.

Watching Mommy work from the 'cout'

Camping in Yellowstone

Lots of room to walk around.

Eating camp food--not so sure about it!

Lots of room to Run around!

and around,

Enjoying wearing a sweatshirt for the first time in a while--it has pockets! and a hood!

Peeking out of the tent!

Filling your water cup at a faucet in camp!

Playing with new pet "puppy doggy" acquired here!

First Two days of our Trip

Josie was a trooper, sleeping right through our morning pack up the first night on the road.  None of us, unfortunately, slept through the lack of AC at night or the car alarm by our window at 3am.

Josie calling Bampa on the phone as we drive along.  She has arranged her pillow and blanket by "self!"

Napping through Teton and Yellowstone on our way to our campsite for the second night.

Just Josie!

On one occasion Josie allowed me to put a ponytail (like Mommy and Scot) in her hair!

Josie and Mommy reading books (the blanket has become a necessary accessory for such stories lately)

Josie has begun to pick out her own clothing at times--here in a shirt belonging to Mark and a pair of PJ pants!

Going for a walk to see if the snake is still in the compost.
